Sedia Strengthens Agrigenomics Portfolio with Thermo Fischer’s, AgriSeq™
Sedia Biosciences is now a global authorized distributor for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s AgriSeq™ agri genomics products under a co-exclusive distribution agreement. Under this agreement, Sedia will expand worldwide access (excluding US embargoed countries) to advanced agricultural genotyping solutions.
Thermo Fisher Scientific will continue to manufacture all AgriSeq™ reagents, panels, and consumables.
This strategic distribution agreement with Thermo Fisher builds on Sedia’s proven global distribution capabilities and the specialized expertise of its Floragenex brand, enabling the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality genomic solutions to the agricultural community worldwide.
Expanding Global Access to Precision Agrigenomics
The agreement grants Sedia the rights to market, sell, and support the AgriSeq™ product line across a global territory, excluding countries currently under US embargo. This agreement leverages Sedia’s established expertise in product distribution and its specialized Floragenex brand to provide comprehensive genomic solutions to the agricultural community.
Key components of the agreement include:
Comprehensive Product Suite: Sedia will distribute the full range of AgriSeq™ consumables, such as Ion 540™ and 550™ Chip Kits, and HTS Library Kits.
Custom “Sedia Panels”: Sedia is authorized to manufacture “Sedia Panels” using Thermo Fisher primer materials, specifically designed for use with Thermo Fisher’s suite of next-generation sequencing systems.
Specialized Support: Customers will benefit from Sedia’s dedicated training, field application, and bioinformatics support to ensure seamless integration of AgriSeq™ technology into their research and breeding programs.
